Real-time composite Global Vegetative Index (GVI) images obtained weekly from polar orbiting satellites. Images (with 16 km resolution) include Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Fractional Vegetation, and the Precipitable Water Index. NDVI shows how "green" the earth's surface is. Archived data is also available.
