We hope these images and any related descriptive information will get you more interested in looking at these awesome Earth system views from NASA's high-resolution polar orbiters.

Then, you may want to download the petition we have posted, sign it and/or have your friends, colleagues and others sign it and mail the completed petition to How The Weatherworks, 301 Creek Valley Lane, Rockville, MD 20850. be sure to include a printed name and address along with each signature. You can also download the petition as a Microsoft Word document.

How The Weatherworks will collect and forward all signed petitions to the U.S. Postal Service's Stamp Advisory Committee for consideration.

Since we were successful in obtaining cloud stamps, we feel confident that we can showcase this aspect of Earth Science, too.

Images of the Aqua and Terra satellites. Onboard these polar orbiting satellites is a MODIS - Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer. This instrument helps obtain high-resolution views of the Earth - Ocean - Atmosphere system.
