Thanks to Connie Mark of Waiau Elementary School in Pearl City, HI for sharing this sky calendar activity with us. It's pretty straight-forward. Take a picture of the same part of the sky, at the same time each day.
Although Connie is using a digital camera to create her calendar, Barbara Levine of Sandy Spring Friends School in Maryland used a Polaroid and I scanned the images into my Macintosh computer using a Microtek E3 Scanner. Barbara is also posting her Polaroid pictures on her class bulletin board.
We encourage you to add photographs / digital images of the sky to your regular weather observation activities.
