Questioning Biden’s Vaccination Claims…
NOTICE: In case the social media police are monitoring this article, please be advised that it is an opinion piece based on information from what I consider to be reliable online sources.
On the surface, President Biden’s pledge to raise the goal on COVID vaccinations sounds awesome. On January 26th, he upped that goal from 1 million shots a day to 1.5 million. Unfortunately for the president and the mainstream media, this is not news.
President Trump and the states had already fired up the vaccination program to nearly 1 million shots a day BEFORE Inauguration Day. In fact, according to the Bloomberg Vaccine Tracker, the seven-day rolling average through January 20th was already at 912,000 a day. Remember, we started from zero only a month or so earlier.
On Inauguration Day, 1.3 million shots were administered. So, Biden’s new pledge is really nothing that wasn’t already in the works. In fact, the inoculation trajectory was taking the U.S. to 1.5 million a day or more without the president’s statements.
If President Biden had stated that he was building on the work of President Trump and the states, I’d support his claims and efforts. Right now, his statistics and statements just demonstrate a spin to steal the COVID vaccine success from those who set the current efforts into motion. So much for Biden’s desire for “unity!”
