An Anti-Socialism Speakers Bureau for High Schools (virtual and in-person) For Free
Earlier today (6/11/22), I heard Daniel Di Martino, a Venezuelan Immigrant discuss the – Dissident Project (https://www.dissidentproject.org), which he founded. The project fully supports Gov. DeSantis’ efforts to push back against socialist/communist messaging in schools and textbooks (NOTE: November 7 is Victims of Communism {VOC} Memorial Day in at least 5 states – https://victimsofcommunism.org/programs/voc-day/).
The goal of the project is to educate high school students about the dangers of socialism by having relatable, young people who have escaped socialistic states tell their stories (either virtually or in-person). There’s no charge for the appearances.
The stories will help explain how the current path that the U.S. is on (when the justice system collapses) is what firmly establishes socialism.
As part of my research into the project, I discovered that many of the non-justice-focused District Attorneys (DA’s) and others who aren’t keen on following laws have socialistic ties (beyond just the published references to George Soros’ support in getting uber-liberals elected to office {including DAs}). The most striking is the recently-recalled Chesa Boudin (San Francisco DA {2019 – 2022}) who was a translator for Hugo Chavez). Gregg Garrett of Fox News flagged this linkage back in 2019. https://thegreggjarrett.com/former-hugo-chavez-translator-son-of-weather-underground-terrorist-now-san-francisco-da/
This is a group that I believe deserves a lot of support, especially with Florida’s new history textbooks up for adoption in late 2022 and early 2023. I hope that some of you will join the history textbook review effort either as community members on the formal review panel or as interested citizens (external to those panels). While this applies to the Florida adoption schedule, I hope others nationwide will join in the effort in their local areas, as well.
I also hope that you’ll try to get schools and school districts to bring speakers from this group to your schools
In advance, thanks.
Mike
